American comedian, actor and writer Sasheer Zamata made headlines early this year when she was announced as the first black female cast member of Saturday Night Live since 2007.

Boasting alumni such as Amy Poehler, Andy Samberg, Tina Fey and Chevy Chase, the popular late night TV show has kick started several Hollywood careers. Sasheer has also recently starred in three short films - The Crumb of It, Little Horribles and How to Politely React to Your Friend's Terrible Engagement! - and now looks ahead to becoming a weekly face on TV screens.
